Emerging companies now have the ability to go even further with special effects using CGI and other technologies. Cameras have evolved as well as sound to create movies about magic that were only dreamt of by their forefathers. We now believe we can jump to light speed or a man can turn into a werewolf in front of our very eyes. The world is the film maker’s oyster now with technology to create the magic in movies for the future.
No longer is our world of imagination limited to our minds. It can now be seen on the big screen. The magic in movies has been something that has evolved since movie making began. The better technology gets the more real the onscreen magic looks. The Harry Potter series has made that realization in the last 6 years. Most recently movies such as Twilight and Avatar have really made movie magic a thing of beauty especially in its 3-D format.
In the same spirit a college student dreamed of a story in space that he wanted to bring to life. He had high expectations that with the right technology created with the help of engineers and animatronics that it was possible for magic in movies. Studios were not sure that investing their money would be a good idea. But with faith and perseverance George Lucas brought Star Wars to the screen and the world of space and technology has never been the same. Yes movie magic has come a long way since the 1920′s.
You may think that older movies are a bit hokey but in their day they awed audiences just as much as new technology continues to wow us today. Without it we could not watch the titanic sink for a second time and believe it. The truth is year after year we are enamored with what technology does for the big screen and for years to come magic movies will still keep our attention.
