Make Money With Housecleaning

by Flemin on July 17, 2010

A lot of people are scared in these tough economic times. The recent economic numbers on job employment did not look good. It doesn’t look as though the 7.9 million jobs that was lost during the recession will ever be recovered, not with the trend of manufacturing jobs being outsourced elsewhere.

And even if you currently have a job right now, perhaps the pay isn’t what you expected. You are required to do odd jobs to make ends meet. It seems as though everywhere the prices are rising except your paycheck and you dare not make a fuss for fear that they will find someone else. And so you carry on with the odd jobs for the extra money.

But there is a saying that you make your own luck. It is those who are willing to do what others won’t that fortune actually smiles on these people. For instance, a lot of people turned to housekeeping jobs in their spare time and what they found was that you can actually make good steady money from this.

The reason why there are always house cleaning vacancies is due to the situation exactly as described above. People aren’t willing to do house cleaning because they think it’s embarrassing or degrading. However, if you are of an open mind, you will see that the house cleaning business has a great business model. After all, where else can you virtually guarantee repeat customers at regular intervals? But with the clients, they pick their schedule to whether they want their house cleaned weekly, biweekly or monthly, etc. And due to the nature of the business, it practically guarantees loyalty as well. No one wants to let a kleptomaniac into their house.

So as you can see, when you’re open to new ideas, more doors become open to you. If you want to make some extra cash, then house cleaning might be the way to go. And who knows, you might find it so lucrative that you wish to start up your own business as well.
