Disney fans the world over are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the latest Disney movie – The Princess and the Frog starring Princess Tiana.

Princess Tiana is the protagonist of Disney’s upcoming 2009 film The Princess and the Frog. The film has a limited release date in the USA (in NY and LA only) as the 25th November and will be released in US theaters on December 11th. This film will mark the return of Disney to traditional hand drawn animation and will bring to fans the 9th Disney Princess. The Princess and the Frog movie storyline centers on young Tiana, a young woman living in the French Quarter of New Orleans during the 1920s Jazz Age and a prince named Naveen who has been transformed into a frog by the evil voodoo magician Dr. Facilier. The story features a trumpet playing alligator, a love sick Cajun firefly and a host of other adorable characters at every turn.

At the recent Toy Fair in the USA, a preview was given of the Disney merchandise that will accompany this feature film. With vibrant and regal colors like purple, green, gold and blue, the toys will evoke life in New Orleans and the bayou, where the film is set. The collection includes dolls, playsets, role-play items and costumes as well as colorful accessories.

The Princess and the Frog Tiana doll from Mattel, will probably be the most popular toy from the line. Just as in the story, beautiful Princess Tiana wears her sparkly blue ball gown and comes with her frog Prince Naveen. The gown will light up and the doll and frog will interact! In addition to the signature Tiana doll, Prince Naveen and Princess Tiana will be available in wedding attire.

Listening and reacting to the main singers phrasing, you must begin and end as they do. As a shadow is always there, so is the effective backup singer.

The best place on stage for a backup singer is wherever you can see the singers mouth at all times, this is the key. To sing backup effectively, this is very, very important to your job. Watch the singer to learn where they are going. The singer will change course or make a mistake and only if you are aware can you react. Watch the singer intently and always. One of the great things about modern cable and satellite TV is all of the sports programming now available to subscribers across the country. While 15 years ago you might find a couple of college football games on Saturday and a game or two on Sunday, today you can literally pick from two dozen or more games every weekend. Even the NCAA tournament has expanded coverage with the Mega March Madness package on Direct TV.

The motto today is “Content is King” and as the saying goes the sports networks of course want to deliver as much content as possible to the end user so they can make more money on ads. Quite a few brand new all-sports networks have sprung up in the past few years. A few of the new networks are Altitude Sports, which carries Denver Nuggets and the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche games, and also the Big Ten Network and the Mountian, the network of the Mountain West conference.

Sure these networks are great for people in certain parts of the nation, but disputes between the providers of content and cable networks that deliver the content have brought trouble at times to the customer. For example, the Big Ten Network started airing in 2007, but the network was unable to strike a deal with cable TV provider Time Warner. Customers of Time Warner in Illinois were not able to watch some of the home town teams play because of the carraige dispute. While the battle lasted a whole year, the companies involved came to terms before the 2008 season, so subscribers could stay with Time Warner instead of having to switch to one of the satellite television providers such as DISH Network or DirecTV. An important thing to do when considering providers is to consider all factors, comparing DirecTV or TWC.

Specialized sports packages are another issue to deal with for the customer. Some Dish Network customers have switched providers because the NFL Sunday ticket is exlusively with DirecTV. This has upset some pay television subscribers, who do not understand why a package Sunday Ticket isn’t available to every provider, especially a bicompany like Time Warner. Alternative sports bundles though are more friendly to subscribers, such as the National Hockey League Center Ice and the NBA League Pass, which are available on almost every cable TV and satellite company. DIRECTV seems to have all of the sports programming like the Sunday Ticket.

Satellite TV provider DISH Network just released new programming packages called TurboHD. These new programming packages are all HD, removing of the SD channels. So is this new satellite TV the right for you?

It all depends on what you want from your cable or satellite TV provider. Some folks want every single channel that is available. They don’t care if 10 of them are jewelry shopping channels, or that five of the channels are public access. They just want all of the channels.

On the other hand, many have grown tired of trying to wade past all of the lower tier channels on the television dial, looking for something decent to watch. For consumers who have recently purchased a new HDTV, Turbo HD from DISH Network might be the right choice.

There are three different choices with Turbo HD from DISH Network, the Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels. All of these packages are composed of hi def channels only. Pricing starts at about $24.99 per month for the Bronze HD package. That package, however, does not include your local channels like ABC and Fox, which cost more per month.

DISH also offers the Platinum package, which is an add-on service to the Gold, Silver, and Bronze packages. This Platinum package is per month, and adds on seven additional hi definitions channels such as HDNet Movies and Universal HD.

One point of contention with some current DISH Network customers is they have not been allowed to switch over to the Turbo HD packages. Currently only new customers to DISH Network have been allowed to get the TurboHD bundles. Current customers can get DISH TurboHD, but only as an add-on to the SD package.

Another item to consider is in how DISH Network is counting the networks contained in the packages. For example, the TurboHD Bronze setup which includes 44 channels, of which 24 are network channels, six are PPV, and 14 are video-on-demand channels. For some, that number would be adequate many are accustomed to having a lot more content to choose from. One final note, the Turbo HD packages do not include movie packages like Starz or Showtime, so expect to pay more for commercial free channels like that. Fall is my favorite time of year. No not because of the cooler temperatures and the falling leaves, but because it is finally time for some football.

Football season is awesome because after several months of almost nothing on TV as far as sports, suddenly you are presented with dozens of games every weekend. A baseball game is great in person, but sitting and watching it on TV puts a man to sleep. At least the 2008 Olympics provided some sports activity this summer.

I love both the college and the National Football League games for several factors. The passion involved in the college game isn’t like anything else. Each and every Saturday, thousands of screaming fans fill up local stadiums in an effort to help the home team to victory. With the increase of network TV contracts, there are usually great matchups on every Thursday and Saturday night as well. While I don’t really like the Bowl Championship Series system that is in place in the college game, one benefit to the setup is that every regular season game really is big. A college team may get away with one loss during the year, but if they want a shot at the BCS championship, then they just can’t afford to lose twice.

The NFL is a different animal, but just as good in my book. Again the passion is amazing, especially in the great NFL cities like Dallas, Denver, Chicago, and Miami. What makes the NFL interesting for many fans is the expansion of fantasy football. Sure some people go a little crazy, in that they spend all of their free time evaluating their players and proposing ridiculous trades to the other fantasy players in the league. Just get started with the right set of people, then fantasy football makes all of the games much more interesting.

This year I had to evaluate my TV, as Cox cable continued to let me down me as far at their service and pricing. Luckily for me, I had multiple options, as UVerse service is now in my area, as well as satellite TV. After checking into my options, I found there are great satellite television deals going on right now. So then it became the old Direct TV vs DISH Network debate Being the huge fan that I am, I just couldn’t pass up the NFL Sunday Ticket package that they offer. On top of that, they offer great college football packages, including the ESPN Game Plan. Overall, there is just more for your money when comparing Direct TV against Comcast. Plus, you just can’t beat the DIRECTV DVR.

My spouse may not like that selection, but of course she will know where to find me, right in front of the TV this fall!
