Placing Kobe and Lebron On Your Desktop Wallpaper

by Flemin on March 8, 2010

The National Basketball Association is exploding with superstars.  It may be a stretch to say that today’s generation of NBA players is the best that’s ever been, but the debate is on the table.  When trying to make the argument that today’s league has the most talent in NBA history, you aren’t doing yourself any justice if you don’t include Kobe Bryant and Lebron James as your two primary case studies.  Dwight Howard, Dwayne Wade, Kevin Garnett…yes, they’re all terrific, but whether you like them or not, King James and the Mamba are the head and shoulders above the rest, heavyweights of the league.

Personally, being a Cavs fan, I’m horribly biased and will take the King any day of the week.  However, I’ve seen my share of Lakers games over the last decade, and it’s undeniable that Kobe’s game is absolutely lights out.  So, what’s this have to do with desktop wallpaper?  Well, being a fan of both players and the rest of the league included, I like to share my colors with others, and plaster their images on my computer background.  I have a huge pool of images that I’ve pulled from sites over the past couple seasons, and I swap them out every day or so.  To my enjoyment, I’ve just discovered that Windows 7 makes automatically randomizing  the display of my Lebron and Kobe Bryant wallpapers ridiculously easy.

In previous version of Windows (Vista, XP, 2000…), the desktop background options weren’t terribly robust, and you could only choose to show one at a time.  With Windows 7, just cruise into your desktop background preferences as usual, click all of the images that you want to include in your rotation, select how often you want them to change, and you’re done.  Once complete, your desktop will automatically switch your Lebron James dunking wallpaper to an action packed photo of Kobe firing his trademark Jordanesque fade away in some poor bums face.

Whether you’re an NBA, NFL, USA, PETA, or WoW, decorating your Windows desktop has never been easier!
