A Crash Course On Hippie Clothes

by Flemin on July 23, 2010

Ever since man has really been trying to adapt to almost anything we need to adapt to our environment, to our life style, to the type of relationship we make with other people, primarily it has been our way of surviving. At some post in our lives we realize that being different from others is wrong, when you try to defy the norms you will end up alone and tagged a weirdo, and treat you as if you don’t actually belong.

This type of discrimination can also be seen in the way we wear our clothes, if you dress in a different manner, but some people found opportunity in this, when your different your unique, you stand out form the bunch and there will be a sense of recognition. This inspired most of the hippie clothes and fashion, the clothes are undeniable a defiance to the normal manner of dressing. Like Rastafarian mode of fashion, hippie clothes has its own version of the famous colors of Rasta which are red, green, yellow and black they are known for wearing clothing that has very bright colors, colors that really stands out from other colors. This is the same idea behind the tie dye shirt that is full of color.

Bell bottom jeans is a must have with hippies this jeans are popularized in the late 60s and 70s, it really gives a retro feeling another know hippie clothing is the tie dyed t-shirts this uniquely designed shirts vary in color and has abstract designs caused by the ties that are placed on the shirts and in the parts where they want the design to be placed. Which gives the unique characteristics in each of the shirts? Another thing which are noticeable in most of the hippie clothes are peace signs, it is really quite common for them, you will also notice that it will not be enough to just wear shirt and have nothing on it. They always pair their clothes with layers. Hippie clothes will never be complete unless they are paired with accessories, but since this type of clothes are beyond the norms, accessories also are beyond the ordinary, because most hippies wear allot of necklace, bracelets, ring and bangles.
