Adsense Earnings and the Perpetual Motion Engine

by Flemin on March 25, 2010

Why adsense earnings are like the perpetual motion engine.

And yes, perpetual motion really does exist!

You could be mistaken for thinking that the perpetual motion engine is a complete figment of some deluded mind somewhere in the world. After all, doesn’t it come under the same heading as alchemy – that imprecise art of turning base metals into pure gold?

The idea of the perpetual motion engine is that once it is set off, it will continue to run for ever since the amount of energy which is used up is, by some mechanism or other, produced by the same mechanism. No extra energy is input into the system and yet there continues to be movement. This, obviously, is impossible. Any system loses energy as it is converted into motion, sound, light, heat etc..

Or is it?

In York train museum in the UK there is one such engine. In fact it actually ran in the UK, together with a couple of other locomotives a good few decades ago, when they first invented electric trains. They weren’t the fastest, but the amount of electricity that they produced was more, yes MORE, than the system used up! So how did it work?

There were three trains, each ran on a circular system over some hills in the middle of the UK. When they ran up the hills the electricity powered them. Their gearing was such that they ran slowly, but on very little energy.

As they ran down the hills, the power was switched off, and a dynamo system engaged with a different set of gearing. The weight of the goods train pushed it down the hill and generated a large amount of electricity that then was stored and used to power the other trains running up hill. In other words, perpetual motion.

Having looked at these engines, it struck me that the whole process of improving your adsense earnings business was very similar.

Many people make the mistake with adsense of thinking that within a couple of weeks they will be raking it in, and not having to do any work at all. Dead wrong. It takes time. The trick is during the working time you have to work at a lower rate, and do what you can. Don’t burn out, putting as much energy in as you possibly can. That just won’t cut it. Take it easy, choose the right gear, and produce slowly. Keep in mind that what you are doing is the same as the train running up the hill, you are trying to just get to the top of the hill and do so as easily as possible. If that means you can only write half an article a night then that’s fine. Just do it! Don’t stop, or pause.

Then when you get to the top you can change gear. Turn off your effort all together on that article for a while, and put your focus somewhere else, another article. Do the same with this one. Get it rolling, perhaps get it to the first page of Google by creating backlinks, then let it go and see what happens. Do this on a third article and so forth.

Now, once your first article starts to lose traction you may have to do some work again to create more backlinks to get it back to the first page, but just do it. Get on with it. Because after some time those three articles are going to start rolling down hill…and actually creating you some cash! Hurrah! It’s at this point you can start to store that energy. You can then get SOMEONE ELSE to write the content for you. You can outsource. And so it continues but now you are using the energy you are storing rather than putting much of your own energy back into the system.

So to summarise:

  • Get your first article going, on page one of Google by creating back links, let it roll.
  • Do the same with the second.
  • Do the same with the third.
  • Go back to the first and create more links to get it back to page one.
  • Repeat with the other two.
  • Make money.
  • Invest it back into the system.

And slowly you will be able to see that surplus money rise, you’re even going to need some home accounting software one day to keep an eye on that money. But folks, it’s going to take time. Just don’t use all your energy up getting to the top in the first place!
