Don’t Fall into the Trap
There are always two sides to a coin, so which one would you choose if heads is success and tails is failure? The answer is very much an obvious one to anybody who reads the above question. But in reality humans will be humans, some of us just don’t know a good thing when it bites us on the hand. Choosing Google Adsense has to be answered with heads, the reason being this; you will be honest and work hard to make money on Google products. Any other path chosen such as being fraudulent with Adsense or dishonest in your whole approach to building and serving your Website would be a tails answer.
In short there is only one way to work with Google and that is; don’t submit to Google any fraudulent address details, proxy IP addresses to fraudulently click adverts with, any auto-hits or auto-surfed traffic or anything else that might be deemed as dodgy business practices.
Knowing What is Dodgy or Shady Business Tactics in Google’s Eyes!
Here is a partial list of things Google know about and will terminate your account for:
• Giving Google’s Partner Advertisers a bad name by spamming emails that you get blacklisted or reported for.
• Fraudulent Clicks – Clicking Adsense adverts on your own Website
• Use of Auto-Surfing Sites and Programs intended to generate higher hits to your Website. These are classed as very low quality hits. Bumping up Adsense Ad Impressions (CPM’s) with low quality traffic is a no no!
• Banner Stacking – For example one Adsense Unit on top of another, it does not look nice and professional for one and is regarded as damaging an advertisers reputation or advert effect.
• Blocking Adsense Units with popup’s or other images and texts.
• Changing the Ad Unit Scripts.
• Changing the look of Ad Units.
• Fake bank Accounts
• False Addresses and contact details
• False names
• Double Accounts
• Adult Content
• Degradation of children
• Copyright theft
• Plagiarism
• No Google Privacy Policy displayed on your Website.
There are many other reasons that are explained in the terms and conditions of the Adsense service. You can find many answers in the Adsense Help Forum or via the FAQ’s, and by using a bit of common sense.
