Quotable Movie Quotes

Aside form the stars and the music that the every movie offers to us there are also some lines that we tend to never forget even when we go to sleep or until we grow old and try to think about the movies we’ve watched and what we remembered about them. These lines grow old with us and sometimes we use it in our own conversations and imitate the Hollywood actor or actress who first uttered those words from the silver screen. Here are some of the quotable quotes our favorite icons of the movie industry once spoke that probably made their movie infamous and make it one of the must watch movies of all time.

“I’m going to make him an offer he can’t refuse.” was the reassuring words that Don Vito Corleone said to his godson Johnny Fontaine after the studio head had reservations of giving him a movie role. This line is just one of the great lines that were uttered by the late but great Marlon Brando. The Godfather (1972) didn’t have any scene that wasn’t worth watching. Francis Ford Coppola’s unique story telling along with the films memorable lines makes it a classic.

“Toto, I’ve got a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.” Who would forget this line? The Wizard of Oz (1939) is probably one of the very first family oriented films and one of the firsts to go to television and spawned numerous sequels. Dorothy Gale said this line to his dog after their house landed in a weird place. Another phrase – “There’s no place like home” was supposed to be mentioned while clicking her shoes ruby slippers would send them back to Kansas. The young Judy Garland played as Dorothy, a role that would catapult her even further to stardom.

“May the Force be with you.” Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (1977) was the very first film of the Star Wars series where this famous line was first stated and would always be used in all the Star Wars films. Han Solo played by Harrison Ford would immortalize this line and be a common expression in every comic-con and go to thinking, is there some type of a force that really guides us like the Jedi.
