Valuable Room For Your Valuables: Large Jewelry Boxes

by Flemin on May 20, 2010

Small jewelry boxes can not offer a selection of different compartments. They should not be the preferred containers for someone that possesses lots of platinum jewelry. Anyone that owns several platinum pieces should take the time to study the various features found on the large jewelry boxes.

Such containers normally have a number of different compartments. In fact, they often have an entire series of drawers. When a piece of platinum jewelry goes into a separate drawer, then it can not get scratched by the metal from some other piece of jewelry.

Maybe you do not own any platinum jewelry, but you have your eyes on a great looking pair of hoop earrings. A small jewelry box would not serve as a good place to store a pair of hoop earrings. A larger container would be needed.

Perhaps your collection of accessories reflects your love for necklaces. Maybe you have lots of pendants on chains, as well as long links that can be folded over the neck and shortened. When you are not wearing those long pieces, you need a decent place to store them. You do not want to crunch them into the confined space in a tiny, dresser top box.

Even the owner of smaller jeweled items might want to keep them in a rather big box. That way, it would be possible to sort the items, and to prevent a mixing of earrings, rings and hairpins. One would even have room for a collection of bracelets.

Of course, if you are going to keep your valuable jewels in a sturdy container, then you should have a decent place in which to keep that container. It does not make much sense to stick an attractive box in a closet, unless you are responding to reports of a local thief.

In that case, you would have good reason to do one of two things–to hide a large container, or to disguise it. Learn more about storing your jewelry at Jewelry Boxes Central.
